"Life ain't fair." "Why do bad things happen to good people?" "Life is hard." Let's face it, life will never be "perfect". But we all have this strange sense that it should. Life ought to be fair. Bad things shouldn't happen to good people. The reason we feel that way, is because that perfect world is exactly the kind of world we were created to live in.
But until we get there, we have to muddle through the world on the Near Side of Heaven.
